Sometimes a Hurt Is So Deep, Deep, Deep Date & Time: 4 December 2002 | evening Post Type: RP Status: Closed: Complete Character(s): Ginny Weasley, Theodore Nott Location: Respective Locations Summary: Ginny and Theordore have a drink.
Ginny arrived at Catapult ten minutes early. She'd had nothing to detain her, and it didn't seem to matter if she had extra time to look over the menu and decide what she wanted. She chose to sit in the chair which faced the door so she could see Theodore when he arrived.
Theodore Nott. Meeting him seemed so unbelievably odd and yet that's exactly what she was doing. She was going to have coffee with a wizard she'd never even spoken to while attending the same school, and after one unusual afternoon in a bookstore, she felt a shared connection with him. She'd told Hermione she was going out, but she hadn't said with whom. Why did she feel the need to hide what she was doing? I'm not hiding. It's just that it's no one's bloody business what I'm doing.
Ginny felt torn talking to Hermione at the moment. Both women loved Harry Potter--in different ways--but Hermione and Harry had a bond that was stronger, built on so many unbreakable things. Ginny felt so breakable at the moment, and going out with a stranger seemed like a desperate relief, a way to not feel as though she had to hide the aching she felt deep in her core. It didn't matter if he thought she was weak or troubled or broken. It didn't matter because she and Theodore were... something undefinable.
