It was a rather rare treat for Adrian to be able to leave the castle on a non-Hogsmeade weekend; Katie's party had been a special exception, of course. This was especially true in light of the fact that the Hogsmeade weekends had been cancelled indefinitely. A mission to find a particular book for his own collection had driven him from the castle, however, and into Once Sold Tales. Adrian supposed that he probably could have ordered the book directly, via owl, but where was the fun in that? Besides, what if he found another, more interesting book?
He had been in the history books for a little while, just reviewing the titles and pulling out a few to glean their subjects before putting them back, before wandering over to Potions. Honestly, he was milking the time away from the castle, in no real hurry to go back. It entered his mind that his copy of 1,001 Magical Herbs and Where to Find Them was in desperate need of being replaced, so he had begun to look for one in the tomes on the shelves. That was when he realised he wasn't as altogether alone as he thought. Glancing over, he saw a young woman carefully looking through a rather old looking book.
He wasn't the sort that was uncomfortable with silence, and would have ordinarily not said anything. However, he recognized a few of the drawings and the pattern of the text, which prompted him to murmur, "Potions Moste Powerful. My grandmother has a copy in her library. I haven't read it in years."
