Eli liked the interest he saw in her face. Some people didn't find the slope of a roof or the number of stairs in a building very fascinating. Still those same people spent hours and hours every day of their lives inside a structure that someone else took the time to design and make safe.
"Not yet," he said. "I've drawn up plans and diagrams for ideas and for imaginary buildings, but I'm not to the stage where they let me loose on my own yet. One day though," he said with a smile.
