Chance Encounter Date & Time: 8 September 2002 Post Type: RP Status: Closed: Abandoned Character(s): Neville Longbottom, Ginny Weasley Location: St. Mungo's Apothecary Summary: Neville sees Ginny when she stops in for her potions.
Neville added the last of the Siberian Thistle to the container in the back room, checked that it was properly sealed, then called, "That should do it. I'm off till mid-afternoon, but owl me if you need anything." He started out of the storeroom, pausing to pick up a jar and hold it up to the light. "The nettles are looking a bit wilted. I'll make some fresh cuttings and bring them down later."
Cho didn't answer, but that didn't faze him. They'd only been working together a few weeks now, but already they'd fallen into a comfortable rhythm. He liked it when they got a chance to talk, but he knew all too well how easy it was to get caught up in your work. More often than not he was up in the greenhouse, elbow-deep in dirt or something most would consider far too disgusting to be near. He smiled and nodded at one of the assistant Alchemists, then walked out into the corridor. When he turned, he was surprised to see someone he recognised who was not a hospital employee.
"Ginny!" he called, grinning as he walked up to her. Neville started to hug her, then noticed the potion vials in her hands and paused. It was best to be careful in this environment about what and who you touched, he'd learned. The healers kept up all sorts of protective charms, but he rarely bothered for the sort of work he did. "Are you all right?" he asked, concerned. She looked like she always did, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. "If it's a bad time to talk, I understand."
