Leiland wasn't entirely sure how to take any of this. Positive reinforcement was... something that he certainly wasn't used to. The only ones who'd ever bothered to give him any sort of encouragement before now had been the other Vinguri. And Leiland was certain that any of them could do his job just as well as he could. Oswald, Toby, Declan, Miles. Any of them would be just as equipped to lead in situations where he wasn't capable. He'd certainly given them that chance before when they were divided in the hunt. But still... That wasn't the point that was being made here. The point that was being put to him was that he was the one in charge, that he was competent enough to be so, and that he shouldn't let someone else tell him otherwise.
Blinking slightly at the offer, Leiland frowned to himself as he considered it. Untying him from Zaul'Nazh would likely create issues between himself and the other Vinguri who would still be locked into their situation, but... It wouldn't hurt to ask.
"I would be open to it," Leiland said, a careful form to the words before he continued. "But... Could you give the others the option as well? I would not want to have an advantage over them that could not be as equally maintained. We are supposed to be warriors in arms, a shared brotherhood, but that wouldn't stand true if they were bound by expectations that I was not."
It was a lot to ask, something that he wasn't even certain whether would be an option or not, but he figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask.
