Feelings were... complicated and something that Leiland had put a lot of effort and energy into trying to ignore since he'd been drafted as part of the Vinguri, but he couldn't help the small pang of sadness that gripped at his heart as the shadows curled themselves back around Percival, obscuring the features and leaving him shapeless and foreboding once more. And while Leiland could certainly still feel the strength of Percival's power, the pull of it, and was secure in the knowledge that the man in front of him could end them all if he so chose, he didn't feel quite as unnerved by it anymore as he once had.
After all, underneath all that was still a man, a man who missed his home and his family and had allowed himself to become these to try and prevent anything like that from happening again.
It was amazing, sometimes, how much good could be trapped within the dark if you could find it.
"As long as you're asking nicely," Leiland teased lightly, a hint of a smile on his face as he stepped through the portal as soon as it had fully solidified, all hesitation gone in the action. Percival wasn't going to kill him. At least, not yet. That much he could be sure of.
