Leiland had to admit that he wasn't quite sure what to expect on the other side of the portal that Percival had opened and beckoned him through. The other man could have easily dropped him to his doom if he'd been so inclined, he was certain, but considering the amount of excessive and unnecessary concern he always seemed to show... Leiland erred on the side of trust and followed him without questioning it, blinking a moment in confusion at the ruins that they found themselves in. It looked... vaguely familiar as he glanced away, frowning as he quietly noted the landmarks that stood out in the distance, the distinct mountain range rising up behind them and giving Leiland pause.
"Is this..." Leiland frowned, uncertain of the truth of his assumption. After all, if Percival had known where they were supposed to go... How would he have known where they were supposed to go? "This is what we were supposed to find," He said after a moment, kneeling down in front of him to pick up a shattered bit of sparkling white stone, turning it idly in his hand.
"They weren't kidding about it being ruined," Leiland said, frowning as he glanced around him. There was only the vaguest impressions left of a place quietly being overtaken by the nature that existed in the area, a light dusting of snow over everything around them making it even harder to discern the crumbling foundations of old buildings and the markings that made it clear a city had once been here. "We could have walked right past this and not even looked twice."
