Percival knew he had a long road ahead of him, getting Leiland to accept his own worth. Zaul'Nazh had done a number on the Vinguri and it would take time and patience to undo that. Just the thought made him want to tear Zaul'Nazh to pieces, but he pushed down the feeling. Leiland was his now and Zaul'Nazh was of no consequence. And if he did need to kill the Dark Lord, so be it. But he wasn't going to seek it out unless Leiland asked it of him. For now he was going to focus on Leiland and what he could do to make him understand how entirely and completely devoted he was to him and how much he was worth.
There was something about seeing a piece of his home on Leiland's finger that made him feel a possessive thrill. He hadn't thought too much about it being a ring, but now that it was there, he felt a certain way. As though he had marked Leiland as his for everyone to see. Not that he really had. Nobody else would see it unless Leiland chose to adopt his corporeal form. And he doubted he'd do it much in the Bloodkeep. There were far too many threats to let one's guard down like that. But he'd see it and he would know. Besides, the new armor and sword would catch attention.
"You deserve it," he said gently, leaning down to kiss Leiland slowly but thoroughly. "You deserve this and so much more. You deserve everything I could possibly give you. And one day, I hope to make you see that. But for now, keep it. I want to know you are safe. Always."
