Leiland was certainly still a little bit groggy, so when Percival said that he'd made him something, Leiland had been confused, blinking up at the other man as he explained before shifting his gaze to the ring. It was impossible to mistake the glimmer of the stone set in the center from what they had come across earlier the day before, and gently running his thumb over it, he could feel the hum of magical energy, both of the enchantment that was placed on it as well as something a little more than what a regular enchantment should provoke.
It was... Leiland had been entirely expecting his options when dawning each form to be limited, to having to be restricted by the armor in either occasion save when he was... well, like this, but this was... an entire other situation. Running his thumb over the stone again, Leiland quietly bit the inside of his cheek, struggling with the emotions that were welling up in him again. He wasn't going to cry again. Even as much as he might have wanted to in the moment.
"This is probably the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me," Leiland whispered, knowing that perhaps that was a very sad statement to make with the amount of sincerity that he was putting it out there with. But it was still true. It had been a long time since he'd felt or existed as something tangible. And now, Percival was offering him the option of doing it whenever he liked without the threat of vulnerability that would have come with it. "I don't know if I deserve this."
