"...What!?" Diana managed to choke out, dangerously quiet. She was suddenly so angry and flushed with it, that she no longer looked in danger of fainting, but Matthew was trying to keep his arm around her all the same. She jerked away from him, and fell backwards when she managed it successfully; she climbed back to her feet quickly, trying to prove some sort of advantage over her brother.
"How dare you keep this from me! I mean, sure, you didn't know I was alive, but I've kept up with the Journals, all the same -- and you didn't even mention Mum's condition! I would have let her know I was alive if you'd afforded her the same courtesy as you did Papa!
"I mean, SERIOUSLY? Summoning an uncle back to look after that son-of-a-bitch, and worrying about the burden he'd prove to be upon said uncle!? Why didn't Mum deserve that sort of mention, at least, in your journal! Why, even if you'd mentioned attending or even PLANNING her funeral, I might have CONTACTED YOU! You stupid BERK, I always knew you iiked PAPA better than Mum...!"
