Abe nodded with satisfaction at James' recitation. "I can probably get my hands on the ingredients. Possibly even some Polyjuice but I make no promises about that. You probably won't need it except for any Diagon runs." He chuckled dryly. "People are usually very careful not to pay attention in Knockturn. Very useful."
He paused and frowned at the news about Albus. "Did he now? That's... interesting." Very interesting because he knew for a fact that Albus didn't need an Invisibility Cloak in order to not be seen. "Did he say why he wanted it?" he asked curiously.
He arched an eyebrow at Diana's question. "They get sent to a series of places so I can check and make sure they're not being followed, tracked, reporting in to the Death Eaters or otherwise trying to spring a trap. Mostly I'm doing this for people who want to escape Britain entirely and I've had a few people try to trick me into a trap. I usually end up abandoning them on one of the various moors around England wearing nothing but their knickers." He glanced around the pub before answering her second question. "As for you, you get a pass because James trusts you. Certainly enough to bring you with him today. And I trust James."
His expression became grim. "Of course, if you turn out to be a traitor, I will make you pay." The grim expression flowed away to be replaced with one of sober calm. It happened to quickly one might almost have thought the grim expression had never been there. "As for your flatmates, if you don't know what they do, you can't trust them. He might be a prostitute or that gold and silver might come from far less pleasant sources."
"In terms of working for me..." He leaned back in his seat and eyed the girl judiciously. "That depends. On whether you can reign yourself in. As I said before, right now I could put you in any disguise I liked and your behaviour would give you away in an instant. I need to know that you can be discreet, calm and most importantly that you can do a task without saying a word to anyone, especially the person you're meeting. If you can be more like the Auror you were trained to be and less like a flibbertigibbet then I might have some work for you."
