"No, sweetie," Diana hissed out, in pain now rather than pleasure-- but she smiled gamely at her friend, all the same. "I'm FINE, really! I just need to get this stuff on, and then I'll be-- as good as new, see?" For indeed, she was already able to indicate the marks on the first arm she had slathered Dittany on had vanished.
At his request to borrow her wand, she laughed. "Oh, of course you can, sweet! I mean, not just for BREAKFAST! Just... whenever you need or even just want it-- all you have to do is ASK!" She laughed again, lightly. "Of course, if I'm asleep feel free to just TAKE IT...! Because I don't want to be woken up early of a morning, got it? I might end up HEXING YOU with the wand instead of lending it to you...!"
Now she looked away from James, to try and apply the Dittany to a cut on her left shoulder, one that seemed particularly deep. She grimaced, and tried to focus on something else-- anything else, really!
And then... her eyes fell on the newspaper. "LONGBOTTOMS LONG GONE?" she read aloud, hissing the syllables out, rather serpentine. "No... No way...!"
