She'd been tracking a small critter that was messing around with a grid of electricity. Mostly it had been sticking to putting out street lights, leaving potential victims to other, bigger critters she didn't really want to try to tackle so she went for the lackey. She'd found its central location in a small little league baseball park which kind of pissed her off. Stupid nasties should leave the kids out of this!
The problem was the damn thing was fast! It kept jumping ahead a few seconds of the small kinetic blasts she sent at it making her leave small divots in the grass. The second problem was the stupid skirt Harry had gotten her as spare clothes and she hadn't gotten her clothes back yet. The dumb thing kept tangling in her legs or getting caught on her combat boots.
The thing was about three feet tall with a head the size of a slightly deflated volley ball. It had a wide mouth with two rows of small sharp teeth. Mostly it was harmless, but it was annoying the hell out of her with its mocking laughter. This time she anticipated its skip and aimed her raw stick of a wand just as it gave a leap. It was probably a good thing her legs got tangled in her skirt and she fell forward flat on the ground since the critter had appeared right in front of some guy out for a stroll. It took one look at him, shrieked then disappeared just as Molly was fighting with her skirt to get to her feet.
