Mel glared up at him. She looked from the man, to the trees around him, and eventually got to her feet, which really didn't do too much good. Her full height was a drop in a bucket compared to this guy. He looked human, which was good. It was daylight, which was better.
Her guard dropped a few inches.
She brushed some leaves off of the front of her purple tank top. They crunched between her green-tipped fingers.
"Think you can point me back to the Uppers? I got somewhere I needta be," she said.
