It had been a rough night, and Jo had a feeling it was only going to get rougher. At least, if Molly could really do what she said she could. She did her best to prepare herself for the answers that Molly might have to offer as she walked home from the motel.
She was a little bit sore from being shoved into the bar counter, and there were already a few bruises forming on her arms and most likely on her back. It was nothing compared to how Dean had looked after his encounter with Phaedra though.
And of course, there was another strange thing. Having drinks with the vampire mercenary who'd beaten Dean up the night before was not how she'd expected to end her shift. Then again, she was beginning to think that the only thing she could expect in this place was the unexpected.
Jo dropped off the bag of clothes that she'd bought that day and lugged with her to work. When she didn't find Dean in the room, she figured he'd probably already gone to Molly's room.
There was just the briefest pang of jealousy at that thought. Molly might have looked like she'd been having a tough time, but even under the dreadlocked hair it was pretty clear she was attractive. And knowing Dean and pretty girls... No, Jo told herself, it didn't matter. She'd given up on the idea of anything actually happening with the two of them a long time ago. Aside from the two 'goodbye' kisses, that was.
She pushed those thoughts aside and headed to Molly's room. She knocked lightly.
"Molly, it's Jo," she announced herself, really not wanting to set off the cagey girl who had unknown powers and didn't like surprises.
