"Only met your mom." Johnny shook his head. "So far, anyway. I know she's got a boyfriend, she said as much the night I met her. But I've not gotten a chance to meet him yet."
This whole situation was absurd. He couldn't help but wonder what it would change in his future. If he knew this now, would he still stay around Jo? Would he leave when he said he was? Or would there be something in him that needed to look after Mary once she was born? And how creepy was that thought?
"Not really the type to welcome his baby girl's beaus in, hm?" He could see it. Between what he knew of Jo and what he was learning about Mary, the man who had raised one and tamed the other had to be a hell of a guy. Stronger willed than both of them put together. Three, actually, since she said she had a sister, and Johnny didn't imagine she was into ponies and ribbons.
He considered her question a long time before answering. "Everything." He said, honestly. He didn't know the first thing about her, but felt that he should know it all, no matter how illogical that might be.
