Mary shook her head in slight disbelief. Her mom had been the one to teach Johnny what he knew about hunting? What were the odds of that?
She rubbed at her forehead, trying to stave off the migraine that was threatening to come on.
The question caught her a little bit by surprise, but she flashed a sheepish grin all the same.
"We weren't sending out wedding invitations." She shrugged. "My dad's a little bit... well, maybe you've met him?" she asked. "Anyway, bringing guys home to him isn't something I've ever really had the desire to do. Especially if it's someone I really care about."
She attempted to switch the focus off that last bit by taking a nice healthy drink of whiskey and cleared her throat.
"So, it's not really fair that I know so much about you but you don't know a whole lot about me. Anything you want to know?"
