Following the man's gesture, Riley began walking with him, taking great care to make sure that the gait of their walk ensured that they stayed relatively even in footing. The man seemed harmless enough, but Riley knew far better than to give someone the tactical advantage of being at his back.
Perhaps he was being overly cautious, if not ridiculously suspicious, but there was just something about this whole situation that seemed...off. At the very least, Riley felt that he could get a glimpse at where the man lived, so if the need for further observation would arise, he wouldn't be caught unaware.
Riley never really minded succumbing to outright paranoia from time to time. After all, he was the government. He was the very person that all the other paranoid people of the world were worried was listening. Nine times out of ten, they were right.
"Sorry for the hassle," Riley said as they walked down the alley, "Just doing my duty, and all. Which one are you?"
