Jo caught the look, but didn't glare back or respond to the plea for help either. She just shifted her gaze, trying not to show her hurt.
Running into someone that he'd been so willing to tumble into bed once upon a time was just a reminder that they'd been sharing a bed for months and he'd barely touched her. While she wanted to believe that he was just trying to be respectful and take his time, there was a part of her that wondered if maybe it was just an indication that something was wrong.
They'd certainly had enough weirdness going on that she could understand why he might be a little bit weirded out about moving forward with things.
She swiped some hair that was caked with dried blood out of her face.
