Jo took that to mean that they at least had a temporary truce while they took care of the vampires inside. Though of course the other woman seemed more intent on doing things on her own.
Jo wasn't exactly sure what she was doing with the crossbow, but she supposed it was as much a security blanket and a way to at least slow them down as her rifle.
She followed the brunette inside. The door to the warehouse was in serious need of WD40 so no matter how stealthy they might have been, their presence was announced.
"Guess we're doing this the big, showy way," Jo muttered.
She immediately took note of where the potential victim was chained up and was careful to keep her shots out of range of the human. She moved forward swiftly, filling their chests full of lead.
There was an ax in a glass 'in case of emergency' container-Jo made a mental note to go back for that once she was able to get the vamps pumped full of dead man's blood.
At least, that was the plan anyway. One of the vampires that had escaped Jo's detection leapt out of the shadows and attempted to grab her. Jo whirled and kicked out at the vampire, who grabbed onto her pantleg. She heard a ripping sound as she struggled to get her leg out of his grip. Her pants were now torn open midway up her calf, revealing her tattoo.
