"Well, yeah. I've seen some pretty impressive homes. Just the ones I know don't tend to look at Walmart for things like that. They'd consider it... beneath them."
He snickered. "I know where my skills lie with mechanics. Breaking and destroying. Doesn't take a lot of effort for that. Making something work... well, it gets a bit technical after that. No DVD player lasts more than a few days around me. Haven't been able to enjoy a video game since I was twelve."
Michael managed to keep his own home in working order while Molly was living there with a ton of preventative maintenance and double time on regular repairs. But he took it in stride, saying that his daughter was worth it. Being a former Knight of the Cross was the last reason on the list of why he respected Michael so much.
He spotted the pair of payphones immediately and wandered towards them. "It's been... very informative speaking with you, Godric," he said amiably. "If you ever need to reach me..." He extended a card, a simple one with his name and number only on it. He'd need a license here to be a private investigator, and Harry suspected the regular activity with the Hellmouth would keep him too busy to continue with the day job for a while. At least he had several months of back-pay from the Wardens to tide him over for a little while.
