The wall was making noise. Impact noise. And small pieces of it were flaking off, little pieces like rocks hitting the ground with a gravelly sound.
"It's a 'screw with everyone' nightmare, from what I can tell," Phaedra said. "I can't... it's not the same as when I'm awake, I can't single out specific minds, but there are a lot of them."
Her eyebrow arched. There was a growl on the other side of the wall, and her eyes bled to lighter green. Without realizing she'd done it, Phaedra sort of snarled at the sound, fangs showing.
She turned her attention back to Harry and his question. "I'd be willing to bet it's most of the people we know and some we don't. He's focusing on hurting us, specifically, but it could be the entire town."
There was a hole in the wall now. And a human-looking arm with long red, lethal-looking claws was reaching through.
