Ellen let him look, let him work things through in his head. She wanted to hug him, so badly, but she didn't know how he'd take it. It wouldn't be her daddy, but it was the best thing she had, right now.
"Let me help," Ellen asked, folding her arms. "Cas...he said that's why he brought me back. Because you and Jo...you can't do this alone." And wow, that sounded way less presumptuous in her head. It was more or less exactly what Castiel had said to her - that without her help now, her parents would die and she would cease to exist. In a very Marty McFly sort of way.
"You can't tell her," she added. "Or Sam, or...or Bobby." She bowed her head a moment, gathering herself. Even hearing Dean speak to Bobby had been hard - she had no idea how she'd cope if she had to hear his voice, or see him in the flesh.
"I'm..." she ran a hand through her hair, huffing out a breath of frustration. "I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to know, either. But fuck it."
