Dean forgot he was holding a gun until he saw Ellen put hers down. He blinked several times, clicking the safety on and sticking it in his jacket pocket.
Did he wanna see?
Yes. No.
He didn't know.
Ellen made the choice for him.
And Dean looked.
Jo didn't look much different, which didn't surprise him. She had some smile and laugh lines, looked a little older around the eyes, but she still was herself, same smile. Ellen looked a lot younger, but there was a lot of growing up that happened between 20 and 30.
Mary looked a lot like Ellen, with darker hair and a little taller. That made Dean smile, probably because of Sam.
And he looked... well, Dean'd seen a very old version of himself. This guy was younger, with silver hair instead of white, a few less wrinkles, and a definite further resemblance to John.
He didn't take the picture, he just looked at it. And took a deep breath.
"I survived a house with three women," he said, sort of incredulous.
