Jo leaned back against her chair, still processing everything.
"I don't know. I just... woke up here. Felt like it was maybe twenty minutes ago that I was in that convenience store, bleeding to death. But if I did die, then I wouldn't be back unless there were some strings attached." She pursed her lips, mulling it over. "There's something big going down, isn't there?"
Her hands gripped at the chair, her knuckles turning white. She dreaded the answer to her next question, as she was already pretty sure she wouldn't like it.
