Dean shut the door when he came back, trying to be as careful and quiet as he could. He had two cups of coffee in a caddy in his hand and a bag with breakfast sandwiches in it.
He'd been giving Jo a little bit of a wide berth. He wanted to know more of what happened, but she didn't have that information.
Once he'd come in and set the food down, he checked on Jo. She seemed to be stirring.
"You can take the wrap off," he said, referring to her ankle. "Long as you don't touch it too much. Should just feel like sunburn as it heals."
