This was good. It was a testament to the strange relationship Edward had with Anita that this was perfectly normal, and so was the conversation he was about to start.
He unpacked groceries and started filling the fridge and cabinets. Donna had a great taco recipe, and tacos were easy and fast, so that's what they were having. He left out the ingredients he'd need for the sauce.
"I think you should know," Edward said, "I am here for somebody." The implication was that it could be someone Anita knew.
He threw some sauce from a jar into the saucepan and proceeded to doctor it. The meat would cook pretty fast. That didn't have to start yet.
"How does your rogue's gallery look these days? I don't want to step on your toes."
