Dean hadn't seen her in a while. He hoped she was adjusting better. "Yeah."
It was a half-distracted growl. He bet Ellen just LOVED Cas, now that he thought about it. "Do you?"
He raised both eyebrows at Harry, sitting back at the edge of the bed. "No. It's not a club. It's... well, you know a buncha wizards, right?" He knew that was true. "Ellen's heard about us. Me and Sam. And... and dad. She's..." He looked at Harry, weighing if he should tell him. "Ellen's from the future."
And oh, was there a thing that prevented demonic possession. Without blinking, Dean pulled the front of his shirt down far enough that Harry could see the tattoo. It was a simple thing, and easier than having a necklace or talisman that could get lost. Sam had the same one. Fans of Chuck's 'Supernatural' books tended to have them, too.
"Only a little," Castiel answered. He was speaking honestly, at least. He had tried to keep his promises to stay uninvolved with Ellen and her sister.
Harry snorted a bit. "Yeah, I know other wizards. From the Council. Or the Paranet. The local ectomancer from Chicago. There's organization there." When Dean mentioned that Ellen was from the future, Harry only twitched his eyebrows a bit. "Oh, another one? We've got a Slayer from the future, too. I think the Hellmouth is screwing with time a bit."
At the look of the tattoo, Harry frowned. "It's... a pentacle in flame. And... hmm." He squinted at it a bit, frowning further. "It actually works? What's the source behind it?"
"There's another slayer?" Dean pursed his lips and bobbed his head from side to side. "Kinda want to meet 'er."
Faith seemed to have left town, at least for a while. A super-powered hunter was never a bad thing to have on your side. Especially when they were cute girls.
"It's like a devil's trap," Dean said. He let go of his shirt so it'd return to its normal position. "Except they can't get in. Bobby gave me and Sam amulets with it years ago. He'd know better about the 'source.'"
