Julian shrugged. "Either way, you can't blame a force of nature for being a force of nature. And I'd offer ice cream instead, but it's December, and it's cold out." He squinted at her. "If you're lucky, you might get a nice warm doughnut, though."
He smirked at the nickname, trying to shift into a more comfortable position in his seat. "Stiff. Have to go in twice a week for some physical therapy for the next month or so." He indicated the cane. "And I get to carry this around for the next few weeks so I don't overstress the joint." Julian let out a sigh. "Being hurt sucks."
