Julian rolled his eyes. "Some nut in the woods." He pushed aside the collar of the stupid hospital gown to reveal the red line across his shoulder, now bound by a small line of stitches. The blistering had gone down, thankfully, though it had confused the doctors as to why his stab wounds seemed to have burned him as well.
The one on his hip had been deeper, and was still covered in bandages as well as stitches, and he wasn't about to show that one off. He pointed at the spot, but didn't move the gown aside. "Hip, too. A cop found me and took me in here. Hence all the extra attention."
Julian had been hurt plenty of times, but his body normally healed things up too quickly to leave scars. He used thick gloves if he had to work with silver for any art projects.
Still, he blushed a little at her half-smirk. "Definitely not 'most people'." Stab wounds would have been cause for concern or lust from most of the girls in his school. Her look said 'oh, really?' and asked if he could do any better than that.
"Julian," he offered, taking her hand and shaking it. Her hands was calloused oddly, on the insides of the fingers. Someone used to climbing, he assumed at first. She had certainly managed the window easily enough. "Nice to meet you, Mel."
