Phaedra actually had a suspicion that men were devolving, but she wasn't quite ready to voice it yet. The theory needed work.
She shrugged, and the motion looked strange on a creature like her.
"I'm not easy to find lately. It's intentional. It's fine."
Phaedra was glad Murphy had found her here, and not with Lindsey. Lindsey was in a difficult position. She didn't want to share it with the world. And while Murphy wasn't the world, she did have connections to the law that might force her to do things she otherwise might not.
"My... the..." This was awkward. Phaedra started over. "Better here than elsewhere, anyway. And you're a nicer visitor than just about all of your predecessors."
