"Right," Dawn said slowly. She supposed it couldn't hurt. Where's the harm in being nice? Growing up on the Hellmouth had made her jumpy and suspicious, which were not attractive qualities in a young woman. Well, anyone really, but Dawn supposed she should really try being more... approachable.
"Hi, Jack," she said, wrapping her hands around the cup of coffee to warm them. She hadn't even noticed that her fingers had gotten chilly. "I'm Dawn. So what do you do here, in this boring town with redeeming qualities?"
