"We can start that tomorrow." Murphy gestured toward her drink. "I think I'll be more effective once I've had the chance to sleep this off."
She frowned at the next question.
"My partner's normal so far-as much as I can tell with someone I haven't known too long. But believe me, I'm watching him like a hawk and I'm pretty sure the sentiment is mutual. I want to get to whatever this is before it gets to him."
She was determined that if she couldn't save everyone, she would at least save the only one that was left. But there was a part of her that was still very very upset that she hadn't been able to save the rest of them that had died since she'd arrived and been put on the case.
