Ruby studied the gate, not only with her eyes, but with her supernatural senses as Jo offered her blood to whatever magic was bound up in or behind it. Whatever it was, it was obviously powerful, and almost certainly dark. Bad news for all the little people of York.
She raised her eyebrows as Jo--or rather, the Powers that were borrowing Jo's body at the moment--revealed one component of some kind of ritual spell, and warned her not to go crying wolf.
"As if I could tip him off without blowing my own cover," she quipped. But she made no promises one way or the other. "I don't know about you, but I kind of like it here."
