What showed in Julian's face was tightly controlled fear, solid determination, and the same sort of calculating look as he watched Dean. There was a hint of predator in his eyes, ears twitching slightly and nostrils flaring as the screams continued.
"Nightmares," Julian said. "Horror stories, thinking they're the real deal. Hell, maybe they are the real deal. They believe it enough. They're going to kill and maim and hunt."
He met Dean's scrutiny head-on. "You ready for what's in there? I dunno what kind of weapons you've got, but how do you kill things like that?"
