Godric felt like he was just killing time. However, after several millenia, there was a lot of that to be had. An immeasurably patient individual, the vampire had to admit he was eager to meet with Harry about his findings at the hospital. But, the rules he had given the hunter still dictated a few days wait, so Godric found himself at the fair, wandering amongst the townspeople to occupy himself.
There was something refreshing about being able to move so freely amongst them. The spirit of All Hallow's Eve consumed the town, so the citizens of York barely cast a glance to a "boy" who looked a little more pale than usual. He had come to this town for these people...to protect them, learn from them, and create a greater unity between his kind and theirs. Yet, for all those noble intentions, he had mostly been sequestered in the mansion, the wizard and the hunter being his sole social outlet thus far.
Wandering to a temporary fence post, Godric leaned forward, watching the townspeople bob up and down carelessly on a carousel. He smiled. Carnivals had changed over the centuries, but their goal remained the same: To bring people together to forget the woes of the outside world.
"It looks like fun," he said, to no one particular.
