She had a point. If she was trying to be sneaky, she most likely wouldn't have gone over the threshold at all. And unless she was skilled in hand-to-hand combat, she wasn't a threat. Hell, even if she was skill in hand-to-hand combat, she had a surprise coming if she tried anything with Murphy.
Murphy lowered the gun slowly, though she didn't take her eyes off her visitor. She did, however, step over to her closet and fumble for a raincoat. Of course, they weren't anywhere near the same size, but it would still cover enough.
She tossed it over to the woman.
"Sorry about that. Can never be too careful," she said. "Wouldn't be the first time someone or something's tried to get past my threshold by wearing a non-threatening face.
