After finding out what had happened to Giles, Dawn wasn't in much of a mood for fairs and carnivals. What she was in the mood for was ordering a pizza and holing up in the hotel room to watch countless hours of daytime TV and resisting the temptation to call Buffy in tears.
That, of course, wasn't an option. So Dawn decided to get as far away from the temptation as possible, and in an attempt to take her mind off of the real life stuff, wandered over to the fair. She didn't even want to, not really, but it was like her feet followed some magnetic strip that directed her right to the entrance. She didn't have any cash on her for rides or games, so she walked around aimlessly until her gaze snagged on a simple sign.
CURIOSITIES.
Thinking that her life didn't really need any more curiosities - some teenage girls got acne and mood swings while she got vampires and super-strong older sisters - Dawn nonetheless pulled back the tent flap and tentatively stepped inside.
