"No, I'm a recent transplant to town. My work keeps me pretty migratory and busy. Not unlike yourself, I imagine. I saw the fair, and figured it would be a nice change of pace."
Riley started strolling around, looking at other items on different tables.
"I have to confess the whole amusement ride scene isn't for me. I am not really one who likes all the excitement."
Riley smiled at the man. It wasn't a lie, per se, but rather a dodgy truth. Riley got enough excitement in his night job that he preferred to keep his daytime hours mundane.
"So, I figured your stop here at the carnival would be best suited to me. I'm more fascinated by curios and stories than electronic thrills."
