It was a touch awkward to get his arm around her with the staff, but he managed. Part of him wanted to apologize for dragging her out here, but he didn't. He couldn't drive right now, and neither could Molly.
"I hate to ask, Karrin, but could you drop me home and watch Molly tonight? She might talk to you. If she knows what happened..." He didn't say the rest. If Molly knew, there was a chance that she'd wiped his memory. "I don't want to set her off by mistake. And empty night, I need to get some rest."
He was worried about Molly. But he knew that Murphy could handle it, if anything happened.
