But if she were here, knowing about vampires, and not being entirely too fearful of them? Well, that was a sure sign that there was something strange about this town. Even though his kind had been "out of the coffin" for a few years where he was from, people still acted skittish and wary where vampires were concerned. But this town was not the same as others.
Nan Flanagan had been reticent to tell him too much. Wasn't that just like the AVL and The Authority? But Bill wasn't born yesterday. He figured a few things out. And that meeting of the supernatural minds had filled in quite a few blanks. (Though there were still some voids of information.) This place was wrong and it was dangerous. But, at the same time, it seemed to call to him like a siren's song. And that concerned Bill.
"Unfortunately, at the present moment, I don't have the luxury of doing as I please. We have a strict hierarchy."
And Bill was this month's errand boy.
