"Aye," Carr sat back in the booth, legs stretched out under the table, one arm along the back of the chair.
"Or you could join me, so I don't have to shout across the diner at you," he smirked, just a little. He had no problems with talking to her while he ate; made him feel a little bit less lonely, and she wasn't exactly hard on the eyes.
