I grinned at her. She looked pretty this morning. Her hair was all tangled and there were a few dried leaves caught in it. Her eyes were a little sleepy still. She smelled like sweat, the forest, and morning dew. She looked disheveled and wild and utterly beautiful. I wrapped my arms around her and leaned toward her and kissed her, long and slow.
"Good morning to you too." I murmured as I pulled back, a silly grin on my face. I could definitely get used to this, waking up next to her. In fact, the last thing I wanted to do was move. It felt good having her next to me, and the idea of getting up and ruining this wonderful moment made me wince.
But there were two inescapable reasons that made it clear to me that I had to end this moment, comfortable as it was. The first was the fact that my body was nagging at me with physical needs. I couldn't ignore the thirst, hunger, and an urgent need to relieve myself. The second was the fact that I still needed to talk to the Cullens and Bella. It wasn't a conversation I was looking forward to, but it was something that had to be done.
I gave a soft groan. "I guess we should get up." I said regretfully, pulling myself into a sitting position. "I don't know about you, but I need a shower, food, and a bathroom."
