My pain comes less from the knowledge of my death than it does of the knowledge of my actions beforehand. Death itself is not something I've ever particularly feared, only a death without honour. I am lucky to have snapped from my madness before such a time occurred, even if it was a bit late.
The magic and madness within it is the burden, rather than the favour of holding it. It does, but it bothers me less than it might because I know that the right decision was made. I am no longer as susceptible to its power.
