"Yeah? I sure hope their parents are sprightly things, but I doubt it. You Guardians have no respect for authority. I'm beginning to see where the overinflated ego comes in," she retorted, her voice gentle, but with a bite that had begun to seep into her speech long ago. "Jack!" she protested, covering up Baby Tooth's ears. "She doesn't need to know some things! Keep that up and you'll have no place in the new world."
She challenged his eye roll with a liberal one of her own, pouting just so in objection. "I was born with those, and really, they're only effective on a certain man-child. You chose this life." Elsa's nose scrunched up in distaste at that scenario, clearly unhappy with it. "They'd never get that far. You're an enigma."
The distraction worked, for the time being anyway. Elsa loved the children no matter where they were living at the time and she was always well-liked by them, as well. Being around them helped her heal from her own not-so-great childhood in addition to just being fun. She doubted she'd ever have children of her own at this point, because of her age, but it was nice to be able to return the keyed up ones back to their parents. "Oh, I doubt it. You and your darn cheerflakes."
