“It’s a real travesty,” he said in mock distress, sighing. Jack was just as bad, though he could blame it on the whole Guardian of Fun thing. Candy was certainly fun! So were sugar highs. Jack may’ve looked nearly forty now, but he was still just as enthusiastic and reckless as he’d ever been. He watched the little colorful hummingbird-looking fairy as she told on him, sighing and shaking his head. “Traitor.”
Baby chirped defiantly at him, cuddling even closer to Elsa. “I’ll never forgive you for stealing her,” he teased. At her response, he laughed. “Can you even imagine what a doctor would say after examining me?”
He knew that he was influencing her with his own emotions, so he got a hold on them. He smiled back as she adjusted, wrapping his arms around her tightly. “Good. Of course you are,” he said. “What did you do today?”
