He had woken her gently before he had left in the morning, and she had struggled to fall back asleep after he had gone. Elsa hardly ever became cold, but for whatever reason, she had been really feeling it recently. She had even put on a sweater, which was pretty much only worn when she felt chilly overall. Her heart was still feeling heavy as she shut the door, breathing in deeply as his voice floated towards her.
Humming along to the music, Elsa almost glided through the living area and into the kitchen, waving her hand to raise the volume of it. "Are we sure that you aren't the guardian of feeding people?" she asked, teasingly, her tone decidedly light. Jack was always cooking for her, a side effect of what she was sure was her royal upbringing. She burned nearly all food products she touched without a second thought. It was terrible.
Bestowing a kiss on his jaw, Elsa sat across from him at the island, drawing her sweater around her tightly. "You left early today; who got a snow day?" she inquired, her fingers dancing icy patterns onto the surface of the counter.
