“Unconditionally, irreversibly, extraordinarily happy,” Emma answered gently, and meant every word. She’d never been happier, not for a single moment, and that was due very much to him. She could make herself happy, it was true, and her work was a joyful act for her, but he was really where her joy came from. It was only after realizing her feelings for him that she truly realized what it felt like to be complete.
She smiled at his actions, amused by them. She settled even closer to him, half atop him. “Good. You should totally always believe me,” she responded, returning the kiss. “I know,” she answered, offering a cheeky grin.
