“Pot, kettle,” she responded. It really had been shockingly easy to make that transition. All it’d really taken was her realizing very suddenly that she loved Alex, and then everything had changed in an instant. All it’d taken was a bit of clarity, and then it all made sense. She understood why she wanted his approval so much, and she understood why they understood each other so well. She pouted even more dramatically then, a full-on puppy dog face. When he mentioned Christmas, though, she found it easier to accept, sighing. “Fiiine. I’ll just wait until you leave the room and find it myself.”
She smiled against his lips when they met, returning the kiss as it was given. When he spoke, she was quiet a moment before she laughed and kissed him again. “You’re literally the most ridiculous person ever,” she said, poking him in the chest.
