“Incredible, I say,” she responded, smiling at his gesture. It’d been awhile now that they’d been dating – over two years, though it honestly seemed like longer because they’d been so close their whole lives – and she still couldn’t believe that he was as sweet as he was. He treated her much too well, much better than she thought possible, and she loved every moment of it. “Tell me, tell me, tell me,” she said, pouting dramatically. “No secrets! Secrets aren’t healthy for relationships. Tell meeee.”
There he went again, being so very sweet and perfect and lovely. She grinned at his reasoning for rejecting the last place and at the kiss on her neck, and turned her head to press her lips to the tip of his nose in gratitude for his thoughtfulness. “That’s a very unprofessional suggestion, sir. What would HR think?”
